The more they negotiated the price down or add-ons &amp;quot;given&amp;quot; to them by the builder, the higher the interest rate or loan origination fees which were tied to the offer. &amp;nbsp;So in the end there was very little benefit if any.&amp;nbsp; This was equally frustrating for many lenders who knew they were providing the better deal but lost the loan due to the enticements offered by the builder.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;color:black;font-family:'Arial','sans-serif';"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;color:black;font-family:'Arial','sans-serif';"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:10pt;color:black;font-family:'Arial','sans-serif';"&gt;&amp;nbsp;Well HUD (housing and urban development)&amp;nbsp;is on the way to fix that.&amp;nbsp; According to RESPA (real estate settlement and procedures act), builders have been manipulating &lt;strong&gt;new home buyers&lt;/strong&gt; for way too long and they are going to regulate and enforce that a &lt;strong&gt;new home buyer&lt;/strong&gt;
